TL;DR
Senior/Lead GCP Data Engineer (Google Cloud/PySpark/Airflow): Building scalable cloud-native data platforms and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to support analytics, machine learning, AI, and financial crime and risk solutions with an accent on reliable ingestion, transformation, storage, and data modeling. Focus on optimizing large-scale batch processing, implementing CI/CD and observability, and evolving the platform toward streaming and AI-enabled data products.
Location: Istanbul, Türkiye; hybrid work with attendance at the Vadistanbul office two days per week during three weeks of each month, plus one fully remote week. Remote work is available throughout August.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and optimize ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions for large-scale datasets.
- Develop reliable data models supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI use cases.
- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions with data, ML, analytics, software, and product teams.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and performance improvements.
- Deliver trusted data assets for AI, MLOps, customer intelligence, financial crime detection, and risk analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience building complex data pipelines with PySpark, Airflow, or similar technologies.
- Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
- Experience with data modeling and relational or distributed databases.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, version control, and code reviews.
- Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
Nice to have
- Infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, monitoring, and ELK Stack experience.
- Familiarity with MLOps, Vertex AI, Dialogflow, AI products, Agentic AI systems, chatbots, or voicebots.
- Experience with streaming and event-driven architectures, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, or dbt.
