About the Role
You will listen to Haitian Creole audio and transcribe it into clear, accurate written text. You will identify and label the different speakers and structure the dialogue. You will apply correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and follow the provided formatting style guide. You will handle natural speech including overlapping talk, fillers, and varying audio quality. You will proofread your own work so transcripts are accurate and easy to read. You will meet reasonable turnaround times on the audio assigned to you.
Requirements
- Native or near native fluency in Haitian Creole (Haiti)
- Strong written Haitian Creole grammar spelling and punctuation
- Good ear for different accents dialects and varying audio quality
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Able to work independently manage your own time and meet deadlines
- Reliable computer and internet connection
- No prior transcription experience required
