What you will do

• Define new companion avatars, including their identity, backstory, emotional signature, and canonical character bibles.
• Lead the visual identity direction, creating concept art, mood boards, and reference packages.
• Define animation requirements and produce briefs to communicate personality through movement and gestures.
• Conceive and direct the creation of tiered skin options and marketplace launch bundles.
• Manage external production studios, translating concepts into production-ready briefs and ensuring quality.
• Validate companion avatar behavior in-engine to ensure consistency with the designed personality and identity.

Requirements

• Background in character design, art direction, or creative direction in games, animation, or interactive entertainment.
• Ability to synthesize character identity and visuals into a coherent design.
• Experience directing external studios or production houses and managing quality across a pipeline.
• Deep understanding of companion avatar design focused on user attachment and trust.
• Strong opinion on animation and subtle motion as a primary tool for character expression.
• Ability to assess AI-generated conversations to ensure character "feel" is consistent.
