TL;DR

iOS Engineer (Swift/Fintech): Building a native iOS finance super app for insurance, payments, and financial services with an accent on clean user flows and high performance. Focus on simplifying complex user journeys, integrating backend APIs, and implementing AI-assisted mobile experiences to improve the user journey.

Location: Hybrid in Tokyo, Japan (minimum 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

  • Develop and ship native iOS features using Swift for a finance super app.
  • Create streamlined user flows for insurance, payments, claims, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex financial user journeys.
  • Integrate REST APIs ensuring stability, security, and reliability of mobile flows.
  • Optimize app performance, focusing on crash rates, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
  • Implement AI-assisted experiences to enhance the overall user journey.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift.
  • Proficiency in SwiftUI, UIKit, async/await, and modern iOS architecture patterns.
  • Experience shipping production apps and integrating REST APIs.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Tokyo office at least 3 days per week.
  • Strong English communication skills required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM).
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with on-device inference using TensorFlow Lite.
  • Portfolio of shipped work (GitHub, app links, or screenshots).
