What you will do
- Advise product and engineering teams on fraud risk exposure and effective control design.
- Develop and support scalable, tech-enabled fraud prevention solutions.
- Analyze fraud performance data to identify emerging trends and control gaps.
- Conduct root-cause analyses for high-loss scenarios and escalated complaints.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the balance between risk reduction and customer experience.
- Deliver fraud MI, dashboards, and analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in fraud risk within a 1LoD or product advisory role.
- Must be based in Japan.
- Deep understanding of fraud typologies, controls, and key risk indicators in retail and business banking.
- Proven experience in driving measurable reductions in fraud losses.
- Familiarity with fraud analytics, transaction monitoring systems, or rule logic.
- Experience working in a global bank or leading fintech.
