What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams, fostering professional development.
• Drive technical vision and execution for critical cross-functional projects in collaboration with Product, Design, and Data Science.
• Own the planning, scoping, and delivery of engineering efforts to build robust, scalable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to guide architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs.
• Champion engineering excellence and refine development processes for continuous improvement.
• Partner with recruiting as the hiring manager to attract and retain top engineering talent.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years in software engineering and 3+ years in a people management role.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience shipping and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications or backend services at scale.
• Deep understanding of modern agile development methodologies.
• Experience hiring and building high-performing, inclusive engineering teams.
• Strong communication, delegation, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working asynchronously in distributed team environments.
• Collaboration with data scientists to integrate machine learning models.
• Technical familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), scientific computing, or algorithm development.
• Prior experience in health, wellness, fitness, or hardware domains.
