What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal opinions and advice to business units and EXCO on operational matters.
• Manage company secretarial duties, including preparing board agendas, papers, and minutes.
• Ensure alignment with CBN licensing, prudential guidelines, and AML/CFT frameworks.
• Provide cross-border legal support for Group entities outside Nigeria.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage dispute resolution efforts.

Requirements

• LLB and BL with call to the Nigerian Bar (membership of NBA required).
• Minimum 5 years of post-call legal practice, including 2+ years in fintech or financial services.
• Proven experience in commercial contract drafting and board documentation.
• Experience engaging with regulatory bodies like CBN and CAC.
• Exposure to multi-jurisdictional or cross-border legal mandates.
