Accountant

What you will do

• Support the month-end close process by creating and booking journal entries and analyzing financial trends.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to identify and resolve transaction exceptions.
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure accurate accounting for accruals and new initiatives.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to improve documentation and reporting efficiency.
• Ensure internal controls and procedures are documented and followed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance accounting systems and reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 1+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing large data sets using Excel and Alteryx.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Managua, Nicaragua.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or public accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Interest in process improvement and accounting policy development.
