What you will do
- Lead day-to-day technical delivery across microservices, APIs, integrations, and platform components.
- Translate business requirements, BRDs, and user stories into technical tasks and implementation guidance.
- Act as the key bridge between Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevSecOps, and developers.
- Ensure all development aligns with architecture principles, security requirements, and coding standards.
- Lead code reviews, technical design reviews, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
- Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices, including automated testing and observability.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical leadership experience in .NET, Java/Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Expertise in REST APIs, microservices, Kafka, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes/AKS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong skills in code review, defect triage, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving.
- Must be based in Athens, Greece for a hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, payments, wallet platforms, PSD2, cards, or SEPA.
- Familiarity with API security standards like OAuth2/OIDC, SCA, mTLS, and SSL pinning.
- Experience mentoring distributed development teams.
