TL;DR
Senior Embedded Security Vulnerability Analyst (AI) (Embedded Security): Analyzing embedded software, boot flows, privilege boundaries, and security-critical components to identify exploitable weaknesses with an accent on vulnerability research, certifications, and AI-assisted discovery workflows. Focus on root-cause analysis, exploitability assessment, fuzzing, static and dynamic analysis, and translating findings into concrete mitigations.

Location: Gratkorn, Austria; home office and flexible working time are provided as benefits.

What you will do

  • Perform in-depth vulnerability analysis of bare-metal, RTOS, and trusted execution environment software.
  • Analyze boot flows, privilege boundaries, memory and isolation mechanisms, cryptographic libraries, and key handling.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and assess the exploitability and impact of identified weaknesses.
  • Support PSA, SESIP, Common Criteria, and other security certifications and evaluations.
  • Develop analysis methodologies and tooling using static analysis, fuzzing, scripting, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Research emerging embedded attack techniques and collaborate with development and architecture teams on mitigations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of low-level system behavior, including memory layout, interrupts, privilege levels, and concurrency.
  • Solid C programming experience and familiarity with ARM and/or RISC-V architectures.
  • Experience with assembly-level debugging and analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, independent investigation skills, and clear communication of technical findings.
  • Reliable and conscious working practices are required because the role includes security-related tasks and may involve security certifications.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or exploit development.
  • Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools, fuzzing, symbolic execution, JTAG, trace, or GDB.
  • Experience evaluating AI-assisted code analysis, vulnerability discovery tools, or agent-based workflows.
  • Rust experience or interest in memory-safe system design.
