What you will do

• Perform vulnerability analysis on bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded software.
• Analyze boot flows and security-relevant components under guidance.
• Investigate root causes of security weaknesses and track PSIRT reports.
• Support security certifications and evaluations, such as PSA and SESIP.
• Utilize and learn static analysis, basic fuzzing, and scripting tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand findings and propose mitigations.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and low-level programming concepts.
• Demonstrated technical skills through academic projects, open-source contributions, or internships.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ARM or RISC-V architectures.
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB, IDEs, or trace tools.
• Basic understanding of operating systems or RTOS concepts.
• Awareness of memory safety and access control security concepts.
