IT Asset & Configuration Manager

TL;DR

IT Asset & Configuration Manager (ITAM/CMDB): Leading the development of IT Asset Management and Configuration Management Database capabilities with an accent on governance, cost optimization, and operational performance. Focus on managing the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets and improving data quality within the CMDB.

Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in Nuneaton or London, UK)

What you will do

• Lead and evolve the IT asset and configuration management operating model.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets from procurement to secure disposal.
• Manage and improve asset discovery tools to ensure accurate and reliable CMDB data.
• Establish governance, reporting, and data quality processes for compliance and audit readiness.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and vendors to manage budgets and lifecycle planning.
• Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), or Configuration Management.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB governance and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Snipe-IT, or Lansweeper.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills focused on data quality.
• Experience collaborating with procurement, finance, and audit processes.
• Must be based in the UK and able to work from Nuneaton or London offices.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification.
• Experience with Power BI.
