What you will do

• Own the risk appetite framework and collaborate with the global Risk function to monitor and escalate breaches.
• Lead the ICAAP process and oversee enterprise stress testing.
• Act as the primary risk contact for the FCA and PRA on all risk matters.
• Provide independent assurance on key operational risks and challenge first-line management.
• Develop and monitor local risk registers, ensuring agreed controls are embedded into the business.
• Guide the implementation of upstream and regulatory changes and support business continuity planning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in risk management within regulated or digital banks.
• Background in both financial and non-financial risk and understanding of core ERM topics.
• Must be based in the UK.
• Proven track record of engaging directly with the FCA and PRA.
• Experience setting up and managing first or second-line risk functions.
• Outstanding leadership skills and experience presenting to boards and risk committees.

Nice to have

• Degree in STEM or economics.
• Experience in top-tier consultancy, first line of defence banking, or recognized startups.
• Previous or existing SMF4 or equivalent approved person experience.
