Cybersecurity AI Risk and Governance Engineer (AI/Cybersecurity): Technical security, risk management, and governance enforcement of AI, ML, and LLM systems across operational and enterprise environments with an accent on data protection, model integrity, and access governance. Focus on engineering secure inference paths, mitigating prompt injection, and integrating AI security signals into SOC/SIEM workflows.
Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)
Salary: $115,000 – $120,000 Base + Bonus

What you will do
- Perform technical security reviews of AI-enabled applications, agents, and workflows across cloud and OT environments.
- Engineer secure inference paths, APIs, and authentication flows using zero trust principles.
- Implement safeguards against prompt injection, data leakage, and hallucination risks.
- Develop controls for model explainability, traceability, and output validation.
- Execute AI-specific threat modeling and integrate security telemetry into SOC and SIEM tools.
- Drive alignment with ISO 42001 and other AI governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or risk engineering.
- Hands-on experience securing data pipelines, APIs, and ML-enabled systems.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption, and secure system design.
- Must be based in the US
Nice to have
- Experience securing LLMs and analytics pipelines.
- Cloud security expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with OT and critical infrastructure environments.
- Certifications like Security+, CISM, or cloud-specific security certs.
