Senior Technical QA Tester (Mobile Gaming)

Location: Hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany, with relocation support to Berlin

hirify.global is a Berlin-based mobile game developer creating idle games for a global player audience.

What you will do

• Own feature quality and test coverage from QA flow definition through release sign-off and post-release monitoring.
• Design, write, and review test plans, test maps, and QA strategies for complex features.
• Perform technical analysis on iOS and Android, including runtime profiling, memory analysis, CPU/GPU usage, frame pacing, and build-size validation.
• Investigate regressions such as frame-rate drops, increased load times, and APK or IPA size changes.
• Coordinate playtests, monitor release performance, and collaborate with Product, Game Design, Engineering, and QA stakeholders.
• Maintain automated test suites and convert manual test cases into automated tests using the in-house Test Automation Platform.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on manual QA experience across the full testing lifecycle, ideally in mobile or gaming.
• Solid knowledge of mobile game performance metrics, profiling, memory, build sizes, and frame pacing on iOS and Android.
• Experience with test management tools such as Xray, TestRail, or Zephyr, plus Agile/Scrum workflows in Jira.
• Experience coordinating QA workloads across internal and external testers.
• Basic Python knowledge for running automated test suites and converting manual tests into automation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Extensive mobile gaming QA experience, particularly with F2P or LiveOps products.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Unity, Firebase, SDKs, third-party plugins, or mobile profiling tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with data pipelines.
