TL;DR
Senior Cobol Developer (Cobol): Developing and maintaining system management solutions using Cobol AcucobolGT and MS SQL Server with an accent on legacy system stability and database integration. Focus on optimizing backend logic and leveraging Azure DevOps for version control and deployment.
Location: Remote, but must be based in Portugal (adhoc travel required)
Salary: Up to 70,000 EUR/Annum

What you will do
- Develop and maintain applications using Cobol AcucobolGT 60 for Windows.
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server and Natural Adabas databases.
- Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git/TFS.
- Collaborate on system management and technology updates.
- Perform ad-hoc travel as required by the project.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Cobol development.
- Strong expertise in Cobol AcucobolGT 60 and MS SQL Server.
- Must be based in Portugal.
- Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
Nice to have
- Experience with .NET 7, .NET Core MVC, RESTful WebServices, or REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, or MS SQL Replications.
- Proficiency in other languages such as Spanish, German, French, or Italian.
- Experience with Crystal Reports or SSRS.
