What you will do

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Tornado.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services for heavy analytics workloads.
• Design and optimize database schemas across relational (Postgres), NoSQL (MongoDB), and cloud data stores (Snowflake, S3).
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and frontend engineers to translate investment models into production systems.
• Contribute to high-level system architecture decisions regarding scalability, reliability, and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using observability tools like Datadog or Komodor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Postgres, Snowflake, MongoDB, and S3.
• Deep understanding of data modeling (ER design) and system design principles.
• Experience building and shipping production-grade REST APIs.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in Georgia, Poland, Serbia, or Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with NumPy, Pandas, or other data analytics libraries.
• Cloud-native development experience (AWS or similar).
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing or distributed systems.
• Background working with financial or analytical datasets.
