What you will do

• Conduct laboratory bioreactor experiments to characterize anaerobic microbiomes.
• Combine high-resolution phenotypic characterization with genotypic data in collaboration with partners.
• Develop a process modeling framework to quantitatively describe the conversion process.
• Unravel the roles of different microbial guilds within complex networks.
• Contribute to research that supports waste bioprocessing and food fermentation developments.

Requirements

• MSc in life sciences, biotechnology, microbial ecology, or microbiology.
• Strong affinity for laboratory experiments.
• Strong background in computational procedures for data processing and bioprocess modeling.
• English proficiency required for communication, academic courses, and thesis writing.
