Linux Software Engineer (Embedded Linux)

What you will do

• Develop and integrate embedded Linux platforms using Yocto and OpenEmbedded.
• Customize Linux kernels, device trees, drivers, bootloaders, and target-platform BSPs.
• Bring up new hardware and optimize system performance and stability on resource-constrained ECUs.
• Build and improve Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and testing.
• Design and execute unit, integration, and Hardware-in-the-Loop tests.
• Debug low-level issues and perform performance analysis using JTAG, perf, ftrace, strace, Valgrind, and GDB.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 3+ years of embedded Linux development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel configuration, device trees, BSP development, board bring-up, and driver development.
• Strong C/C++ programming and Bash or Python scripting skills, including POSIX APIs, IPC, and multithreading.
• Experience with resource-constrained ECUs, RAM and flash limitations, and real-time constraints.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, requirements traceability, Git, JIRA, or DOORS.

Nice to have

• Experience with static analysis tools such as PC-Lint, CodeSonar, or Cppcheck.
• Knowledge of MISRA C guidelines and ASPICE-compliant development.
• Experience reviewing technical and engineering documentation.
