What you will do

• Design and implement software bridges and integration layers for partner-specific components within the Android stack.
• Provide technical guidance to partners to integrate solutions into both the open-source tree and the production codebase.
• Collaborate with internal quality and testing teams to validate ODM deliverables for performance and reliability.
• Triage and resolve complex integration issues across hardware and software boundaries.
• Own technical documentation and manage project timelines for partner integration projects.
• Bridge requirements between internal stakeholders and external ODM implementation capabilities using AOSP.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Android ecosystem.
• Expertise in C/C++, Rust, Java, and Kotlin, specifically within core Android and chipset stacks.
• Proven experience working directly with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in a technical capacity.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Firmware Over-the-Air (EFOTA) and Android Enterprise system update policies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in Amsterdam to support a hybrid working model.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI/ML integration in Android, such as on-device AI and NPU utilization.
• Specific expertise in Android HALs (e.g., camera, audio, WiFi, or Bluetooth).
• Experience building business cases and working with Legal teams on software compliance.
