Senior Finance Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Systems Engineer to join a long-term international project focused on finance systems, data reconciliation, and process optimization.

Location: Poland, Kazakhstan, EU, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia
Work Format: Remote
Time Zone: CET
Start Date: July
Project Duration: 12+ months

Final compensation will be discussed individually based on experience and interview results.

About the Project:

As a Finance Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data across multiple systems within the Sales-to-Cash process. You will collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Product teams to investigate data discrepancies, improve reconciliation processes, and optimize financial data flows.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and resolve discrepancies between internal systems, payment providers, and bank transactions.
* Validate financial data throughout the Sales-to-Cash lifecycle.
* Perform reconciliation of financial records and investigate root causes of inconsistencies.
* Work with large datasets and develop optimized SQL queries.
* Conduct structured data audits to ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and system integrations.
* Support Finance teams by explaining discrepancies and improving reporting transparency.

Requirements:

* Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries (JOINs, CTEs, subqueries).
* Solid understanding of relational databases and data structures.
* Experience working with large datasets and data reconciliation.
* Good understanding of accounting principles, including P&L, Balance Sheet, debit/credit logic, and reconciliation processes.
* English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Nice to Have:

* Experience in FinTech or working with payment providers.
* Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, 1C, or similar.
* Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
* Knowledge of data warehouses, BigQuery, cloud platforms, or system integrations.
