What you will do

• Lead the evaluation and implementation of an API gateway solution for the platform.
• Consolidate existing pipelines and create blueprints covering security standards and best practices.
• Apply and transfer API gateway knowledge across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Contribute to building and operating shared platform capabilities for application development teams.

Requirements

• Experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform (IDP), developer portal, or shared cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience with API gateway technologies (e.g., Kong, Apache APISIX, Envoy, AWS API Gateway).
• Strong software engineering skills in Java or Kotlin.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
• English: Very good proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in the European Union.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Hands-on coding experience in Java or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with serverless services like AWS Lambda.
