What you will do

• Optimize Spark and YARN jobs to identify inefficiencies and reduce resource waste.
• Develop AI-driven automation and internal SaaS tooling to productize manual operations.
• Analyze and drive cost optimization for EMR and S3 storage.
• Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and log analysis.
• Develop automated ops scripts for health checks and data governance policy deployment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python for writing clean and maintainable scripts.
• Fluent use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for development and troubleshooting (Hard requirement).
• Comfortable with Linux environment, including running programs on servers and debugging logs.
• Must be based in Asia.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Hive, or Flink.
• Familiarity with AWS basics (S3, EMR, Athena).
• Experience with Kafka, Prometheus, or other monitoring systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Real project experience, such as open source contributions or competitions.
