Senior Staff Software Engineer (Mobile Infrastructure)

Location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. Applicants must have the current right to work in Hong Kong and must not require visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build and maintain mobile infrastructure, tooling, and shared frameworks for engineering teams.
• Analyse and optimise memory usage, package size, startup time, UI rendering, and application performance.
• Design reusable and scalable mobile components for iOS and Android.
• Partner with product engineering teams to establish infrastructure practices and technical standards.
• Drive architecture improvements, project structure optimisation, and workflow enhancements for faster, higher-quality releases.
• Apply AI coding tools and evaluate emerging mobile platform and toolchain innovations.

Requirements

• Current right to work in Hong Kong; visa sponsorship is not available.
• 6+ years of native iOS or Android development experience, including infrastructure, platform, or architecture work.
• Deep expertise in iOS with Swift, Objective-C, or C++, or Android with Kotlin, Java, or Jetpack, with the ability to contribute across both platforms.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering workflows, including AI-leveraged workflows, knowledge bases, and repeatable agent skills.
• Production experience optimising performance at scale and strong knowledge of design patterns, architecture, mobile SDKs, APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, and persistence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver large-scale engineering outcomes independently across global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in a dedicated mobile architecture or infrastructure team.
• Experience with toolchain engineering, automated testing frameworks, performance optimisation, or design pattern standardisation.
• Production infrastructure experience across both iOS and Android.
• Familiarity with React Native or Flutter.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or high-scale consumer applications.
