What you will do
- Develop and maintain EOS Kernel features and tests using C, C++, and Python.
- Track upstream Linux Kernel developments and integrate new versions into EOS.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and vendors to qualify new CPUs and NICs for integration into products.
- Contribute features and patches back to the mainline Linux kernel community.
- Provide technical leadership across projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Analyze and resolve complex kernel-level problems in customer networks and system tests.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering with 8+ years experience (or MS + 6 years / PhD + 3 years).
- Expert knowledge and extensive programming experience in C.
- Significant hands-on experience troubleshooting, fixing bugs, and developing features in the Linux kernel.
- Deep familiarity with Linux kernel architecture, design, and the upstream patching process.
- Solid understanding of IP networking architecture and principles.
- Familiarity with x86 and ARM CPU architectures.

- Knowledge of C++ and Python.
