What you will do
- Manage the accurate and timely completion of settlement activities for commodity trades.
- Generate customer invoices and ensure all third-party and intercompany transactions are settled per contractual terms.
- Oversee the monthly close process, including P&L tieouts, journal entries, and trade exception clearing.
- Lead and mentor a team while collaborating with Commercial, Market Operations, and Finance departments.
- Identify and implement opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate settlement processes.
- Support internal/external audits and provide documentation for litigation as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant accounting or settlement experience in the Energy Industry.
- Strong understanding of commodity derivatives and cash flow hedging concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ETRM systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify employer).
- Proven ability to lead teams and implement continuous improvement solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Adapt2, Allegro, or SAP systems.
- Strong background in internal controls and audit support.
