What you will do
- Design and develop mission-critical distributed systems for securities finance, execution management, and clearing.
- Build both client-side interfaces and server-side components to ensure high performance and security.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams in Sweden and New York to deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions in production environments.
- Contribute to building a modern technology stack from scratch with minimal technical debt.
Requirements
- Must be based in Umeå, Sweden for onsite collaboration.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in developing high-performance distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in supporting and maintaining systems in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Golang, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Redis.
- Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and technical requirements for financial systems.
