Area Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations in the BCELL area, covering bonding, contacting, etching, lithography, and laser processing.
• Manage a 24/7 production environment to meet KPIs for Safety, Quality, First Pass Yield, and On-Time Delivery.
• Lead and coach a layered organization of shift managers, team leads, and technicians, managing over 30 employees.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (L3/L4 level) to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Translate sector strategy into 2–3 year operational plans and define department KPIs.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and sister facilities in Germany to align on operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (10–15 years experience) or Master’s Degree (5–10 years experience) in manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience leading other leaders in a complex, multi-shift production environment.
• Strong background in Lean/Continuous Improvement with demonstrated results.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and experience in ISO-certified environments.
• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in optics manufacturing, coating, or metrology.
