TL;DR
Lead Site Reliability Engineer (DBA) (Oracle/MS SQL/Azure): Managing and optimizing highly available database and cloud infrastructure services for SimCorp Dimension with an accent on performance tuning, disaster recovery, automation, and client-facing service reliability. Focus on resolving mission-critical incidents, configuring Oracle ASM on cloud-managed disks, and improving operational stability across a 24x7 follow-the-sun environment.

Location: Hyderabad; hybrid model with two days per week in the office and remote work on other days

What you will do

  • Lead the operation, monitoring, optimization, and reliability of Oracle and MS SQL databases supporting SimCorp Dimension in Azure.
  • Implement database high-availability, disaster-recovery, patching, upgrades, environment refreshes, and routine-task automation.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and collaborate with DevOps teams on Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for database environments.
  • Provide expert-level service support in a 24x7 follow-the-sun model, including incident response, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Improve service delivery maturity, operational workflows, SLAs, OLAs, and the reliability and scalability of the PaaS solution.
  • Lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and advise clients and stakeholders on SimCorp Dimension best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in database administration, including at least 5 years in cloud environments; Azure experience is preferred.
  • Extensive Oracle and MS SQL expertise, including Oracle Database 19c installation and configuration, performance tuning, high availability, RMAN, data warehousing, sizing, upgrades, and patching.
  • Advanced experience with Oracle ASM, multi-tenant architecture, storage structures, disk groups, cloud-managed disks, data masking, and Transparent Data Encryption.
  • Knowledge of Linux database environments, cloud PaaS and infrastructure services, monitoring platforms such as OEM, and service management tools.
  • Experience with incident, service fulfillment, change, release, and problem management, together with strong ITIL practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong communication skills. Applications must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
  • Strong experience with SimCorp Dimension or other large financial services software products.
