Contract Senior Penetration Tester (1099)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; annual travel is required for training, team meet-ups, strategy meetings, and client business needs.

What you will do

• Execute penetration testing procedures across on-premise and cloud-based networks and applications.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities, perform detailed analysis, reach conclusions, and document results.
• Draft project deliverables and answer clients’ basic engagement questions.
• Collaborate with project teams, manage client expectations, track schedules, and escalate issues.
• Attend project kick-off and closing meetings and contribute to practice development and thought leadership.
• Train and acclimate newer team members and participate in recruiting activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on penetration testing experience, including at least 1 year of web application penetration testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• OSCP certification is required.
• Proficiency with at least two scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• Competency with Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus an understanding of cloud computing models and technologies.
• Ability to work independently, with clients, and collaboratively across multiple projects.

Nice to have

• CRTO certification.
• Burp Suite Certified Practitioner certification.
• Knowledge of PCI and FedRAMP programs.
• Security research or community activity through repositories, blogs, presentations, conferences, associations, or hacking challenges.
