TL;DR
Technical Consultant & Premium Support Engineer (Linux for SAP): Designing and deploying SUSE KVM and Linux solutions for mission-critical SAP HANA workloads with an accent on virtualization migration from VMware vSphere. Focus on architecting high-availability clusters, optimizing physical server hardware, and providing high-touch premium support for enterprise environments.
Location: On-site in Republic of Korea

What you will do
- Lead strategic migrations from VMware vSphere to KVM for production SAP HANA and application workloads.
- Design and implement advanced virtualization features, including VM Live Migration and high-speed Fibre Channel SAN block storage mapping.
- Provide day-to-day premium technical support as the primary dedicated contact and escalation point for customized customer environments.
- Architect and validate high-availability clusters using Corosync, Pacemaker, and STONITH fencing mechanisms.
- Develop Technical Design Documents (TDD), migration Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), and Statements-of-Work (SOW).
- Collaborate with global R&D teams to validate next-generation server architectures (e.g., Intel Granite Rapids).
Requirements
- Fluency in both Korean and English is required.
- Must be based in the Republic of Korea.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Services, Systems Engineering, or Support within a high-tech enterprise software environment.
- Deep technical expertise in KVM (QEMU, libvirt), SLES, SLES for SAP Applications, and SLE-HAE.
- Proven experience executing data center migrations, specifically from VMware to KVM for mission-critical workloads.
- Strong knowledge of physical server tuning, including NUMA node placement, CPU pinning, and 1GB Huge Pages.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with OpenStack APIs, cloud orchestrators, and software-defined networking.
- Experience with Manager, Trento, SES/Ceph, or K8S/CaaS.
- Hands-on experience with virt-v2v, qemu-img convert, or SAP HANA System Replication (HSR).
- Project management skills.
