What you will do
- Lead the creation of robust data platforms leveraging Data Lakehouse architectures and the Azure ecosystem (Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Power BI).
- Design and implement scalable data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics layers.
- Architect Microsoft Fabric reporting solutions, managing capacity planning, governance, and CDC/mirroring from Azure SQL.
- Lead complex migration efforts from legacy systems to Microsoft Fabric and manage mid-program rule drift.
- Build and oversee AI-ready data pipelines, integrating GenAI, embeddings, and vector stores into analytics products.
- Mentor junior team members, perform code reviews, and define coding standards and governance.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering and business intelligence.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, ETL/ELT workflows, and automation.
- Deep understanding of Data Lakehouse concepts, medallion architecture, and dimensional modeling.
- Proven track record of leading analytics projects as a player-coach.
- Must be based in Guatemala

- Experience working with DBT.

- Experience with GenAI tools or technologies.
