What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial reporting locally, ensuring accurate and timely IFRS-compliant statements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for local external audits and coordinate quarterly audit activities with auditors and the global accounting team.
• Manage internal control processes and drive continuous improvements in collaboration with the internal controls function.
• Handle tax compliance including transfer pricing documentation, VAT and WHT recovery, and annual income tax computations with monthly provisions (including deferred tax).
• Lead the local accounting team (1 direct report) and support payroll coordination with HR and external payroll providers.
• Ensure accounting operations accuracy (general ledger review, balance sheet reconciliations aligned with SOX) and perform variance analysis; support treasury and compliance/audit requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Local accountant certification required.
• Native Spanish speaker with advanced proficiency in English.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (modeling, LOOKUP functions, pivot tables).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or SQL.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and present financial information to non-financial managers.
