TL;DR
Associate Software Engineer (C++ / .NET): Developing and maintaining web-based applications and 3D visualizations for manufacturing operations with an accent on integrating digital technology with real-world manufacturing systems. Focus on building scalable high-performance software, implementing WebGL visualizations, and developing RESTful APIs.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in Brooklyn Park, MN (fixed on-site Tue, Wed, Thu). Role is open only to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), or refugees/asylees due to ITAR regulations.

Salary: $74,500 - $111,700 a year

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Implement WebGL-based visualizations for 3D models, simulations, and production layouts.
  • Build, consume, and troubleshoot RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Contribute to backend development using .NET (C#) to support business logic and data processing.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality software.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and debugging activities.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development concepts.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably in C# or .NET.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON data formats.
  • Understanding of version control (Git), debugging, and testing fundamentals.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylee status (ITAR compliance).

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
