Freelance Houdini CFX Artist (Houdini): Creating scalable cloth, hair, feather, muscle, and other character effects for stylised and photorealistic CG across advertising, long-form, and real-time projects with an accent on believable results and procedural setups. Focus on building team-friendly CFX workflows, troubleshooting complex simulations, and supporting other artists.

What you will do
- Create CFX for stylised CG and photorealistic characters and creatures.
- Build believable effects that match each project's visual style.
- Develop scalable, procedural, and team-friendly CFX setups.
- Work across advertising, long-form, and real-time projects.
- Troubleshoot simulations and support other artists when needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Houdini.
- Proficiency with the Vellum Solver for cloth, feathers, and hair.
- Strong procedural CFX setup skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new workflows.
- Interest or previous experience managing and supporting other artists.
Nice to have
- Experience using VEX.
- Knowledge of muscles in Houdini 20.5 or Houdini 21.
