TL;DR
Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DBRE): Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly reliable and scalable database infrastructure with an accent on performance optimization and automation. Focus on solving complex incidents, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring system reliability in a high-load, high-data-volume environment.
Location: Must be based in Harjumaa, Estonia (Hybrid: minimum 2 days in the office per week).

What you will do
- Lead the design, automation, and maintenance of scalable database infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve critical infrastructure incidents.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize database configurations and SQL queries.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on schema design and database best practices.
- Enforce security standards and data governance policies.
Requirements
- Proven track record in systems engineering.
- Solid experience with Relational Database Management Systems (e.g., MySQL).
- Strong Linux troubleshooting expertise including networking and kernel internals.
- Proficiency in coding (Python, Go, Rust, or Bash).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
- Must be able to work on-site in Harjumaa, Estonia at least 2 days per week.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of NewSQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
