Senior Software Engineer, Financial Automation (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript): Building and launching backend platforms for financial automation, including fiscalization and e-invoicing, with an accent on scalability and regulatory compliance. Focus on architecting core platforms for financial flows, designing microservices, and establishing engineering standards.

Location: Hybrid (Harjumaa, Estonia). At least 12 monthly in-office days required.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and deploy scalable core platforms for financial flows, ensuring data consistency and compliance.
• Build integrations with existing backend services and various third-party tools and APIs.
• Set the technical direction for the new financial automation domain and establish engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring engineers and driving system design reviews.
• Partner with Finance, Commerce, and Product stakeholders to translate regulatory needs into reliable automations.

Requirements

• Solid backend engineering experience with a track record of designing and shipping scalable, reliable systems.
• Proficiency with microservice architecture and API design.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Must be based in or able to work from Harjumaa, Estonia to support the hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience in finance, fintech, payments, tax, or accounting domains.
• Previous technical leadership or tech-lead experience.
