What you will do

• Provide strategic and tactical leadership across multiple assigned capital projects.
• Establish and lead project delivery teams, including both permanent and contingent resources.
• Ensure projects meet agreed objectives for time, cost, quality, and safety.
• Oversee governance, risk management, and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with construction partners and contractors to achieve outcomes while managing commercial expectations.
• Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of project management capability across the team.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing and delivering large-scale major capital projects.
• Strong understanding of construction and delivery contractual formats.
• Tertiary Engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, IMPA).
• Ability to travel regularly with frequent overnight stays.
• Preference for candidates based in or willing to work from Christchurch.
