Sound Engineering Specialist (AI Trainer)

Location: Must be based in Canada

Compensation: $8–$65 per hour

What you will do

• Converse with AI models on complex audio system design and troubleshooting scenarios.
• Validate engineering accuracy and identify gaps in signal-chain logic.
• Document model failure modes to harden reasoning capabilities.
• Recommend improvements to prompt structures and model evaluation methods.
• Apply expertise in live sound reinforcement, microphone technique, and signal flow to AI training tasks.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• Expertise in live sound reinforcement, microphone technique, signal flow, and acoustics.
• Hands-on experience with live sound rigs, studio installations, or broadcast setups.
• Ability to provide clear, structured communication regarding technical signal paths.
• Proficiency in audio standards, gain staging, PA tuning, and impedance matching.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sound Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with Dante Controller, Smaart, QLab, and professional mixing consoles (Yamaha, Avid, Allen & Heath).
