What you will do
- Design and develop scalable Java 17/Spring Boot 3 microservices with a focus on quality.
- Implement comprehensive JUnit-based test coverage integrated with Datadog for observability.
- Improve CI/CD workflows using GitLab Pipelines to ensure safe and traceable releases.
- Define and execute testing strategies ranging from unit to system-level testing.
- Validate backend logic using SQL and contribute to functional test cases.
- Mentor junior team members and act as a technical quality champion.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Java backend development (Java 11+).
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservice architecture.
- Solid hands-on experience with unit testing (JUnit) and integration testing.
- Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
- Strong SQL knowledge for verifying business logic and test data.
- Passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Nice to have
- Exposure to containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in performance testing and monitoring.
- Familiarity with test evidence generation and reporting tools.
