What you will do

• Source and develop local suppliers for direct materials and negotiate BOM materials, including Consignment and VMI agreements.
• Implement global commodity sourcing strategies at the site level in collaboration with Global Sourcing Managers.
• Lead cross-functional teams (SCM, Engineering, Production) to achieve annual cost reduction targets.
• Ensure supply continuity during production ramp-ups and manage phase-in/phase-out plans for products.
• Conduct vendor performance assessments through quarterly Supplier Rating System (SRS) reviews and quality audits.
• Manage Procure-to-Pay (P2P) compliance and maintain strategic relationships with supplier key account managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in global procurement, supply chain, or material supply.
• Proven experience in direct materials procurement, preferably within the Semiconductor or Automotive industry.
• Strong negotiation, people management, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of semiconductor direct materials.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu.
