Lead Props/Environment 3D Artist (AAA Game Art)

Location: Belgrade, Serbia; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and provide feedback to a team of Prop Artists, including performance reviews.
• Set and maintain the artistic and technical quality standard for props and environment assets.
• Develop and optimize PBR modeling and texturing workflows for demanding production schedules.
• Distribute tasks across the team and oversee deadlines for active projects.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Project Managers to identify risks and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain technical briefs, style guides, and best-practice documentation for the props department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in game art, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expert-level hard-surface and organic prop creation across different styles.
• Expert knowledge of Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, plus ZBrush and the Substance Suite.
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine UE4/UE5 or proprietary AAA engines.
• Mastery of PBR workflows, UV optimization, baking, and LOD management.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to adapt to different art styles and technical constraints.
