TL;DR
Senior QA Functional & Automation Engineer: Designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for hybrid legacy-to-cloud migration projects with an accent on data integrity, automation framework development, and performance validation. Focus on building scalable test suites for microservices and legacy mainframe systems while integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Must be based in Lima, Peru (Hybrid role)

What you will do
- Define and lead comprehensive QA strategies for modernization initiatives including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and front-end applications.
- Lead data integrity and reconciliation testing between legacy mainframe systems and modern cloud-native platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support shift-left quality delivery.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure system testability and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation and functional testing.
- Advanced proficiency in Java or Python.
- Deep experience with Selenium Webdriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Strong expertise in API testing using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
- Experience with Mainframe systems (DB2, VSAM) and advanced SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Nice to have
- Experience with Appium for mobile application validation.
- Familiarity with COBOL-based batch processing.
