QA Engineer

TL;DR

QA Engineer (Playwright/JavaScript): Designing, documenting, and executing QA across ecommerce web applications, APIs, and backend systems with an accent on manual + automated testing and defect investigation. Focus on integrating Playwright-based automation into CI/CD, applying shift-left practices in agile scrum, and analyzing APIs/logs/data to validate behavior and improve quality.

Location: Poland (hybrid; teams in the office an average of four days a week). Available until 18:00 PL.

Salary: 80–120 PLN net hourly (B2B cooperation).

What you will do

• Design, document, and execute test cases across web applications, APIs, and backend systems for ecommerce/transactional platforms.
• Run system testing, system integration testing, and exploratory testing.
• Build and maintain test automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve their reliability.
• Use a shift-left approach by participating in refinements, planning, and requirements analysis.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps; investigate using databases, logs, and monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Solid experience in QA or test engineering.
• Experience testing ecommerce or transactional platforms (customer journeys, checkout flows, payments, integrations).
• Strong balance of manual testing and hands-on automation skills.
• Comfort with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and working with backend data (databases, logs, validating data flows).
• Experience working in agile scrum environments (sprints, standups, refinements, retros).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing conversations.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance or security testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or containerized environments.
• Exposure to accessibility testing standards (WCAG).
