What you will do

• Serve as a strategic compliance partner to product, trading, and operations teams to enable compliant growth under the DARE Act.
• Develop and enhance the comprehensive compliance framework and strategy for the Bahamas region.
• Interface with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SCB) for regulatory submissions and supervisory engagement.
• Embed compliance considerations into product design, customer onboarding, and market surveillance.
• Provide clear, defensible compliance opinions to support senior management and board decision-making.
• Foster a strong compliance and risk culture across the organization.

Requirements

• 12-15+ years of progressive experience in senior compliance leadership roles within financial services.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Bahamas regulatory landscape, specifically the DARE Act and SCB rules.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing compliance teams in multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Demonstrable experience managing regulatory relationships and navigating complex examinations.
• Comprehensive understanding of market compliance, AML/CFT/CPF programs, and consumer protection.
• Ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented strategic guidance for new product development.
