Lead Animator (Maya)

What you will do

• Lead the animation team across one or more high-end productions.
• Create high-quality character, creature, and vehicle keyframe animations.
• Review team work and provide clear, constructive feedback to elevate quality.
• Mentor and support animators across all experience levels.
• Collaborate with Directors, Supervisors, and other departments to achieve project goals.
• Develop and improve animation workflows, tools, and pipeline processes.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Maya with exceptional posing, timing, and storytelling skills.
• Proven experience leading animation teams on professional productions.
• Production experience of 7+ years.
• Deep understanding of human anatomy, movement, and real-world physics.
• Strong grasp of cinematography and visual storytelling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Animation Direction or Supervision.
• Extensive experience in Previsualisation.
• Knowledge of technical animation, scripting, or pipeline development.
• Experience recruiting and developing animation talent.
