What you will do

• Create high-quality keyframe animation for characters, creatures, and vehicles.
• Plan and deliver complex performances and action sequences.
• Execute camera layout and previsualisation.
• Record and direct reference to support storytelling and performance.
• Collaborate with Directors, Supervisors, and other departments to achieve creative goals.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of animation workflows and pipelines.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Maya with exceptional skills in posing, timing, weight, and rhythm.
• Proven production experience of 5+ years on professional productions.
• Deep understanding of human anatomy, movement, and real-world physics.
• Strong knowledge of cinematography and visual storytelling.
• Ability to receive and implement feedback efficiently.
• Must be based in Sheffield, UK or qualify as an exceptional remote candidate.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level animators.
• Previous experience with previsualisation.
• Technical animation knowledge or pipeline experience.
• Experience working across multiple animation styles and genres.
• Relevant degree or qualification.
