TL;DR
Data Scientist/Engineer (Manufacturing): Developing data-driven insights and tools to support the energy transition in machinery with an accent on machine electrification, total cost of ownership (TCO), and operational optimization. Focus on analyzing telematics and operational datasets to identify patterns in performance and energy consumption.
Location: Peterborough, UK (On-site 5 days per week). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you will do
- Analyze machine and operational datasets, including telematics, to identify patterns in usage and energy consumption.
- Develop analytical models for forecasting, optimization, and TCO calculations to inform business decisions.
- Build data-driven tools and visualizations to communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Engineering teams to understand data requirements.
- Gather, clean, and transform data from multiple internal systems and APIs.
Requirements
- Experience in a Data Scientist or similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas).
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis and data science techniques.
- Experience working with structured datasets, particularly time-series or operational data.
- Basic understanding of APIs and working with multiple data sources.
- Must be based in the UK; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
- Interest in electrification, machine analytics, or energy systems.
- Experience creating dashboards or data visualizations.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks.
