Health Specialist (Public Health)

What you will do

• Support the development, planning, and implementation of health programmes.
• Manage programme monitoring and delivery of concrete, sustainable results.
• Provide technical and operational support to improve health outcomes for marginalized women and children.
• Build networks and partnerships with stakeholders and international organizations.
• Drive innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building within the health sector.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master's) in Public Health, Health Systems Strengthening, Health Policy, Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in public health planning, management, or maternal and neonatal health.
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, planning, and reporting.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Must be an Afghan National.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language.
• Experience working with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the UN, or other international organizations.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.
