What you will do

• Build and maintain next-gen build systems using technologies like Bazel.
• Develop integrations between build systems and CI/CD tooling including merge queues and code coverage.
• Enhance the developer experience for backend engineers, including editor integrations like IntelliJ.
• Shape technical strategy to improve developer velocity, resilience, and reliability.
• Partner with engineering leaders across the organization to drive adoption of new infrastructure capabilities.
• Act as a player/coach to ensure operational excellence and high code quality within the team.

Requirements

• English: C1 proficiency required
• 6+ years of industry experience in backend development.
• Extensive experience with JVM and backend server languages like Java, Ruby, or Go.
• Proven experience working with large monorepos and build systems, preferably Bazel.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns for high-scale distributed services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
